Discovery Point Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Rotasha Pressley

Ms. Rotasha Pressley has worked at Discovery Point #5 in Duluth, Georgia for the past 13 years. She is an incredible part of our team!

In 2002, Rotasha graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Upon graduation, she moved to Duluth and began working with our Pre-K program. Ms. Rotasha is married to Sylvester and has two girls, currently in 1st and 7th grade. Both girls attended Discovery Point from birth through Pre-K, and they still enjoy coming to summer camp! In her spare time she volunteers for the Norcross Blue Devils youth cheer program.

Not only does Ms. Rotasha teach Pre-K from August to May, but she is also our summer camp teacher. During the school year, she enjoys watching the four-year-old students grow and prepare for the transition into Kindergarten as they learn each new skill. Once summer camp begins, she engages the students in the fun and exciting curriculum that Discovery Point prepares for our summer programs. The campers just finished a summer celebrating “Project Time Machine” which had ten themed travel adventures including Ancient Egypt, Jurassic Times, and Pioneer Days. The campers performed wacky science experiments, created fabulous art projects, and Ms. Rotasha added her own unique spin to each activity. The kids had a blast!

Whether it is with her school aged summer camp kids or her many years of Pre-K students, Ms. Rotasha makes an effort to make sure every child in her classroom feels valued and cared for each day.

We are so grateful to have Ms. Rotasha as part of our staff at Discovery Point on Satellite Blvd. in Duluth!
