Ms. Penny Receives 2013 Children Tylenol National Early Childhood Teacher Award

Discovery Point Cumming is proud to announce that our very own Ms. Penny has been selected as a recipient of the Terri Lynne Lokoff/Children’s Tylenol® National Child Care Teacher Awards! This is a huge honor, bestowed to only 50 early childhood education teachers nationwide each year. Ms. Penny was nominated in the fall by Discovery Point Cumming parents as well as her peers.

Ms. Penny has been a teacher at Discovery Point Cumming for over 10 years. She is Lead Teacher of our Infant Room where she brings incredible warmth and commitment to the development of “her” babies. We feel blessed to have Ms. Penny here and look forward to her being part of the Discovery Point Cumming family for many years to come.

In addition to letters of recommendation, Ms. Penny proposed an Infant Sensory Integration Project. The winning teachers are given the funds to complete their classroom enhancement project, bringing her vision to life. This Spring, Ms. Penny will be flown all expenses paid to Pennsylvania to receive her award from the Terri Lynne Lokoff Foundation. We are so proud of our award-winning teacher, Ms. Penny!
