Discovery Point is always interested in adding members to its team, both at their centers and in the corporate offices. As positions become available, they will be posted to this page. If there is no position in your area, please feel free to contact a center directly to submit your resume.

DIRECTOR

Job Summary:  Provides a safe learning environment and quality education program for children.  Responsible for effective operation of the child development center which includes recruiting and managing staff, establishing and meeting enrollment and revenue objectives, providing ongoing communication with parents, and cost management of the center.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Director in a licensed childcare center
  • Must have, or be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license, CPR/ Fire Safety & any other training required by regulatory agencies
  • Must possess State specific Director credentials
  • Knowledge of childcare licensing rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum & appropriate developmental practices
  • Knowledge of sound business practices, including budgeting and strategic thinking

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Job Summary:  Proves a safe learning environment and quality education program for children.  Responsible for effective operation of the child development center in the absence of the Director and/or Owner which includes recruiting and managing staff, establishing and meeting enrollment and revenue objectives, providing ongoing communication with parents, and cost management of the center.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Assistant Director in a licensed childcare center
  • Previous supervisory experience or experience providing work direction
  • Must have, or be able to obtain commercial driver’s license, CPR / Fire Safety, and any other training required by regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of childcare licensing rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum

LEAD TEACHER

Job Summary:  Plans lessons, and instructs children in activities according to approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development.  Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy learning environment. Promotes and participates all center functions, communicates with, and develops positive relationships with all family members.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
  • Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum
  • Knowledge of childcare licensing rules and regulations
  • Ability to obtain training in CPR / Fire Safety and other training required
  • Must have CDA/degree in ECE

ASSISTANT TEACHER

Job Summary:  Assists the Lead teacher with planning lessons and instructing children in activities according to approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development.  Maintains a safe and healthy learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
  • Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum
  • Knowledge of childcare licensing rules and regulations
  • Ability to obtain training in CPR / Fire Safety and other training required

 


COOK

Job Summary:  Prepares meals and snacks for the children enrolled in the center.  Ensures that meals and snacks are ready at scheduled times.  Prepares and serves food according to approved menu, and under proper health and safety methods. Ensures compliance to federal CACFP standards if applicable.  May assist in classrooms when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
  • Ability to be trained in food service certification
  • Ability to be trained in CPR, Fire Safety and Nutrition
