Preschool 3 Program

For those who do not qualify for State Pre-Kindergarten program, Discovery Point offers a Private Pre-Kindergarten Program.

• The Program is designed for 4 year olds.
• Teacher-Child: Ratio is lower than or meets State Requirements.
• The program stresses more independence and self-reliance.
• The teachers are certified. The structured curriculum and lesson plans prepare student for the transition into kindergarten.
• Curriculum focuses on developing cognitive, social, language, early literacy and physical skills they need to succeed in school and life.

Much like an internship gives relevance to the classroom experience, the classroom setting for Preschool 3 program puts meaning behind the knowledge and skills learned to prepare students for the transition into kindergarten. In our Private Pre-Kindergarten Classroom, your child continues to develop a new level of cognitive, social, language, early literacy and physical skills they need to succeed in school. At Discovery Point we know how to get your child ready to start school and give them an edge when it's time to move to elementary school.

Our goal is to provide your child with a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning. Literacy skills, a focal point of our program, are a key component to both cognitive agility and effective communication that are essential for future success. Early math skills are also important for developing critical thinking skills. This part of the program explores the most basic concepts of numbers, shapes, measurement and space.

Lower teacher-child ratios ensure that every child receives concentrated attention. Hands-on group and individual activities build confidence and provide positive support that fosters a lifelong love of learning. In addition to a more advanced curriculum your child will continue to have access to games and educational software in the computer lab.

Upon completion of our private Pre-Kindergarten program, children are able to make the transition to the public/private school classroom with ease.
