Christi Martin
Director
Mrs. Christi has been in the childcare field for over 20 years, working with all ages and in management. She has been with Discovery Point for over 15 years. Working with all ages of children is her passion! Mrs. Christi lives in Paulding County with her husband and 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter. In Mrs. Christi’s free time you can find her with her 4 children at a little league baseball game, boy scouts, or on the sidelines chaperoning the North Paulding Wolfpack Pride Marching Band.
Andrea McGill
Assistant Director
Mrs. Andrea has worked with children for over 20 years. She has been with Discovery Point since 2011. Mrs. Andrea drove for the Cobb County school system before coming to Discovery Point. She has 2 children, a daughter and son. Mrs. Andrea loves attending church with her family and baking cakes for friends and family.
Crystal Runner
Teacher
Mrs. Crystal Runner has been working with children for over 15 years. She has worked for Discovery Point for over 10 years. She has 3 children, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Mrs. Crystal has a CDA and is currently in school finishing up her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. When Mrs. Crystal is not working or taking care of her own children she enjoys a good book and shopping.
Dorothy Rodney-Wright
Teacher
Mrs. Dorothy Rodney-Wright has been teaching and touching the lives of children for more than 30 years. She has been working for Discovery Point for over 20 years. Mrs. Wright feels that teaching is what she was called to do. Dorothy is originally from Jamaica. This is where she met her husband over 30 years ago. While living in Jamaica Mrs. Wright taught 1st and 2nd grades. Her and husband came to the United States to be closer to their families. Mrs. Wright thoroughly enjoys music and in her free time she loves to sing and play the guitar.
Erika Husband-McClain
Teacher
Mrs. Erika has been teaching and working with children for over 10 years. She has been with Discovery Point for over 5 years, but started her first year teaching in Pre-Kindergarten in August. Mrs. Erika has 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter. She is working on a degree in Early Childhood Education and Music Education. Mrs. Erika volunteers with the Salvation Army youth department in her free time.
Jennifer Watson
Teacher
Jennifer Watson is a teacher in our Preschool classroom. She has been working in childcare for over 5 years. Mrs. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her 2 children and watching them learn and grow. In her free-time she loves to spend time with her family, animals, and taking trips.
Juscell Tobias
Teacher
Ms. Juscell has worked with children for over 5 years and has been working at Discovery Point for almost a year. Ms. Juscell is currently in school working to obtain a degree in Counseling and Social Work. She enjoys teaching and see how excited the children are when they learn and explore new things. In Juscell’s free time she loves to practice cosmetology, sing, and write.
Kiarra Milsap
Teacher
Ms. Kiarra has been working with children for over 10 years and has been a part of the Discovery Point team for over 5 years. She has 2 young daughters and is currently working on her CDA and currently has a paraprofessional certificate. Kiarra loves music, movies, painting, and drawing.
Kierra Thompson
Teacher
Kierra Thompson is a teacher in our Beginners classroom. She has been working with children for over 10 years. Ms. Kierra loves to work with all ages of children. Ms. Kierra has one son. In Keirra’s free-time you can find her spending time with her son reading, fishing, or just spending time outdoors. Ms. Kierra is working on her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Melise Mitcheltree
Teacher
Ms. Melise has worked with children for over 10 years. She has been with Discovery Point for over 5 years. Ms. Melise enjoys working with the children, watching them learn and grow. When she is not working Melise likes to cook, scrapbook, and decorate.
Patricia Wiley
Teacher
Ms. Pat has been with Discovery Point since we opened in 1997. She has worked with children for over 30 years. Ms. Pat has a love and passion for children. She has a CDA and many years of extensive training. Ms. Pat has 5 grown children of her own, many grandchildren, and all of the children she has taught over the years. When Ms. Pat is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and working in her garden
Ramona Bowie
Teacher
Mrs. Ramona Bowie has been working with children for over 30 years. She has been with Discovery Point for over 5 years. Mrs. Ramona has 1 child of her own. She enjoys working with children and showing them that you are never too old to learn. She really enjoys traveling to new places with her family and taking care of her house and yard. One of Mrs. Ramona’s favorite things to do is throw dinner parties. She enjoys art and singing.
Rita Tolbert

Mrs. Tolbert has been working in education for over 10 years. She helps in Pre-Kindergarten at Discovery Point. Rita has her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Tolbert has 3 children of her own, 2 sons and 1 daughter. She enjoys being able to experience life through the eyes of 4 and 5 year olds. Teaching is Mrs. Tolbert’s passion. When Mrs. Tolbert is not teaching and taking care of her children she enjoys crafts and spending time outside.
Samantha Orozco

Mrs. Samantha Orozco is a teacher in our Infant classroom. She has been working with children for over 5 years. Mrs. Sam loves to teach and nurture the children. Samantha has 2 children of her own. In Mrs. Sam’s free-time she enjoys having family movie nights, baking, crafts with her children, and decorating. Samantha is originally from Arizona before moving to Georgia.
Sarah Tucker

Ms. Sarah has worked with children for over 30 years. She has been with Discovery Point for over 5 years. Ms. Sarah always knew she wanted to teach and make a difference in the lives of children. She has 2 adult sons. In her spare time Sarah loves to go to the movies, dance, and travel.
Stefani Cabezas
Teacher
Ms. Stefani Cabezas Has been working with children for over 5 years. She was a parent at our center for 2 years and decided to later join our team. Ms. Stefani has 2 sons and has always loved working with children and making an impact on their lives. When she is not at work she enjoys relaxing and spending time with her boys.
Tayatta Morgan
Teacher
Ms. Morgan has been in the childcare field for over 20 years. She has been with Discovery Point more than 10 of those years. Ms. Morgan has 1 son and, in her free time, enjoys watching her son play football, attending Falcons games, traveling, and taking her son to car shows.
Taylor Edmond
Teacher
Mrs. Taylor Edmond has been working with children for over 10 years and has been with Discovery Point for over 5 years teaching Pre-Kindergarten. Mrs. Taylor has 1 son. She and her husband are very involved in their church where he is the drummer. Music is definitely a huge part of their daily lives! Mrs. Taylor is currently enrolled in college and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Management. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her parents and 2 younger sisters.
Tita Stephens

Ms. Tita Stephens has been teaching for over 15 years. She has been with Discovery Point for over 10 years teaching Pre-Kindergarten. Ms. Stephens has 2 grown daughters and 2 beautiful granddaughters that are her pride and joy. She has an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves to make an impact on young minds and watch them learn and grow. When Ms. Stephens is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching sports.
Barbara Newcomb
Staff
Ms. Barbara Newcomb has been working with children for over 15 years. She has been with Discovery Point for over 10 years. Barbara has worked with all ages of children, but for the past few years she has worked in the kitchen, cooking all of the healthy and delicious meals that we serve. She also helps throughout the center and opens every day. Barbara has 3 children, 1 son and 2 daughters that are all grown. She enjoys taking care of her dog and birds. Barbara loves to bowl and fish for fun!
