  • Ms. Julie & Mr. Brad

    Ms. Julie & Mr. Brad


    Ms. Julie (Assistant Director) – Ms. Julie has 22 years experience in child care. She began working with Discovery Point 20 years ago, and spent 10 of those with Discovery Point Franchising as a consultant. Her love of children brought her back into the field and she joined our management team in 2009. She and her husband have been married for 22 years with 2 sons in college. She is an outstanding leader and a large part of the reason why we’ve built such an effective team of teachers and caregivers. Mr. Brad (Assistant Director) – Mr. Brad has been with Discovery Point for 16 years. He got his start volunteering his time at various not-for-profit youth organizations before joining Discovery Point as a school-age coordinator. Brad relishes the opportunity to be a mentor and provide guidance for children. His wife of 3 years is a teacher as well and their love of children is a common bond. His outgoing personality and sense of humor help keep Discovery Point Old Peachtree a light and inviting atmosphere full of smiles and laughter.

    Ms. Brooke & Ms. Ashley


    Ms. Brooke (Pre-K B Lead) – Ms. Brooke obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing before realizing teaching was her passion and acquiring her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She focuses on providing a loving and nurturing environment while balancing curricular goals and learning objectives. She cites Dr. Seuss as her favorite author and her playful, enthusiastic spirit has a magnetic quality that children gravitate to and makes her classroom a great place to be. Ms. Ashley (Pre-K B Assistant) – Ms. Ashley is in her third year with Discovery Point Old Peachtree. She has her TCC in Early Childhood Education and loves working with Pre-K students for the fulfillment she feels when they grasp new concepts. She has a very pleasant, calm nature that works wonders in the learning environment within her classroom.

  • Ms. Gail, Ms. Sydney & Ms. Shannon

    Ms. Gail, Ms. Sydney & Ms. Shannon


    Ms. Gail (Infant Co-Lead) – Ms. Gail has an incredible 24 years of child care experience, joining our center in 2008. Her knowledge of a baby’s needs is a tremendous asset that she puts to great use. She loves working with infants and is very loving and motherly with all the little ones in her care. She creates a warm and inviting atmosphere within the classroom and provides the infants with the sense of comfort that they need. Ms. Sydney (Infant Co-Lead) – Ms. Sydney has worked at Discovery Point #45 since we opened in early 2007. She has spent her entire adult life caring for children in some form or fashion, including working in child care for 20 plus years. She has worked in every classroom with all ages but is truly at home with the infants. She has a kind and nurturing spirit and provides the children with a tremendous amount of love. Ms. Shannon (Infant Assistant) – Ms. Shannon is in her second year in child care but not with Discovery Point, as she spent much of her childhood as a Discovery Point student! She felt the experience created many positive memories for her and was the major catalyst in her choice to work with children.

    Ms. Sara & Ms. Kelly


    Ms. Sara (Pre-K C Lead) – Ms. Sara, a transplant from Baltimore, MD, received her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. She’s in her sixth year of experience with children in all stages of development but prefers Pre-K and the fulfillment she gets from witnessing them grasp new concepts and abilities. Her classroom is always warm and inviting and she has a special bond with the children she teaches. Ms. Kelly (Pre-K C Assistant) –Ms. Kelly brings 3 previous years of experience to her first year with our program. She obtained her TCC from Lanier Tech and is currently furthering her degree. Her favorite aspect of working with children is their expressions of joy when learning and discovering something new.

  • Ms. Tracey & Ms. Angie

    Ms. Tracey (Pre-K A Lead) – Ms. Tracey is in her 2nd year with our school and her 12th year working with children. She graduated college with a degree in Physical Therapy before moving to Georgia from Scotland in 1998. After deciding she wanted to pursue teaching she obtained her Master’s Degree in Education. She is married with 2 daughters in high school and volunteers her free time at the Lawrenceville Food Co-op. Ms. Angie (Pre-K A Assistant) – Ms. Angie is a 1988 graduate of Ball State University. She is currently enrolled in Brenau University to attend her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. She served as a paraprofessional for many years, working with kindergarten and special needs children. She and husband have been married for 21 years and have two daughters in middle school and college. Ms. Angie has a very calming nature and brings a sense of love and comfort the little ones in her class.
