Teachers Participate in 5K to Honor Coach Jay
A group of Discovery Point Towne Lake teachers ran a benefit 5K in Kennesaw to honor Coach Jay Ingram, who died January 2012 while on an early morning run. Coach Jay was a beloved teacher at Kennesaw Charter School and a dynamic soccer coach at NASA Quest. He was also the uncle of 2 children that attend Discovery Point Towne Lake. Ms. Marlie, Ms.Brittany, Ms.Ali, Ms.Audrey, Ms. Dominique, Ms.Stephanie and Ms.Brenna decided to join the event to show support for the family that has been at Discovery Point for over 4 years. With the help of many area sponsors and lots of support from Jay Ingram’s former soccer players, students, family and friends, the event at the NASA Quest soccer fields in Kennesaw was a success.
