At Discovery Point Howell Ferry, we’re proud to offer summer camps in Duluth that allow children to explore their potential as they engage in fun and educational activities and build meaningful friendships. This year’s summer camp program includes a variety of exciting topics that keep children stimulated and help them make the most of their time off from school. Every week, they can look forward to new themes that inspire adventure-packed field trips, hands-on activities, and plenty of opportunities for making memories that will last a lifetime.  

“Mighty Me!”: Our Weekly Themes for Summer Camp 2019

This year’s summer camp program in Duluth focuses on inspiring children to see the superhero in themselves. We use week-long missions to encourage students to explore their natural interests and flex their skills in new and challenging ways. Each mission is based on a theme from literature, helping students make real-world connections to their favorite characters and literary adventures. Here’s a breakdown of the missions your child can look forward to at our summer camp in Duluth:

• Animal Rescue. We show children the importance of caring for animals, both those in the wild as well as the furry friends in their own homes.
• Mastermind. It’s all about putting on your thinking cap to turn brainpower into a superpower in this fun and informative theme.
• Friendship. We remind children of the importance of kindness and respect and show them how these values can help them keep their friends close for life.
• Sportsmanship. Our fun games and challenging puzzle activities give campers the opportunity to work together as a team.
• Archeologist. Campers go on an exciting dinosaur dig to explore the adventures of the past.
• I Spy. A mysterious whodunit can’t be solved without the investigative skills of our campers-turned-spies.
• Build It. Imagination is key to creation. Your child will become a visionary as he or she creates exciting constructions.
• Mix It Up. We put health and fitness front and center with some fun physical challenges.
• Hurricane Heroes. Our campers build self-reliance as they learn the exciting science behind storms.
• Superstar. We shine a light on children’s natural talents as they celebrate their own celebrity status.
