Summer Camp in Valrico: Go for the Gold!

Over the summer break, you want your child to have fun while also increasing their skills and knowledge. At Discovery Point Kings Mill, we are planning our fun and educational summer camp. Students from Valrico can “Go for the Gold” with us this summer! Keep reading to learn more about our program.

About Our 2020 Summer Camp in Valrico

When creating this year’s summer camp theme, we drew inspiration from the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Drawing on this golden theme, we have developed a new unit for each week of our camp. To keep students engaged in the program, we use fun topics like the California Gold Rush, buried treasure, and the Olympic gold medals. Our summer program is filled with inspirational, fun, and educational content!

We host an inspirational environment for local children. This year’s theme focuses on confidence and perseverance, while also teaching other valuable lessons. We also impart social skills, friendship, creativity, and self-reliance on our students.

All of these skills are developed through the fun activities* we use in our program! Here are some examples:

• Cooking projects
• Science experiments
• Educational talks from guest speakers
• Field trips
• Physical fitness challenges
• Fun competitions
• Puzzles, riddles, and games

To make the most of your child’s time at our camp, we like to include plenty of educational content as well. We strongly focus on literature, but we also incorporate science, art, math, and drama lessons as well. Your child will build on their existing knowledge in the care of our talented teachers.
