“Go for the Gold” at Our Summer Camp in Peachtree City!

At Discovery Point Sharpsburg, we’re gearing up for the warm months ahead and our 2020 summer camp! Inspired by the upcoming Summer Olympics in Japan, we are giving children in the Peachtree City, GA area the chance to “go for the gold”! Our program is full of lessons and activities that will inspire confidence and perseverance in your little one.

About Our 2020 Summer Camp in Peachtree City

Our summer program is 12-weeks full of fun and excitement! It’s a great way to keep your child entertained all summer long and allow them to socialize with their peers in the community. Our program also helps school-aged children stay up-to-date with their education and skills during their break from school.

We have talented teachers and instructors on staff who bring age-appropriate lessons to our summer camp. Our main focus is always on literacy and comprehension among our students, so each week will have a selected literature reading. From there, we lead our students on an adventure through other subject areas, including science, math, art, history, and drama.

To apply what they have learned, students take part in the following activities:

• Puzzles, games, and riddles
• Cooking projects
• Science experiments
• Fun competitions
• Physical fitness challenges
• Inspiring talks from guest speakers
• Field trips to local sites
• Dramatic scenarios

We will introduce a fun new unit each week to keep the children engaged during our program. Keeping with our main “go for the gold” theme, we will learn about the Incan gold treasure, the Gold Coast of Australia, and the California Gold Rush. All of this will lead us to the Summer Olympics and learning about the infamous gold medals!
