Founder and CEO
Mr. Clark has been actively involved in the childcare business since he and his wife Diane opened the first center in the fall of 1988. Thirty years later, he still oversees all aspects of franchise development, including sales and construction, and continued operational support for our 47 centers. “Mr. Cliff” as the team likes to address him, is also the President of Westair Corporation, a corporate aircraft operator in Duluth and Managing Member of Flightway One. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of Gwinnett Technical College Foundation.
Vice President of Finance/Chief of Staff
MaryAnn has been a member of the Discovery Point management team since September 2000. At Discovery Point, she has held the positions of Accounting Manager (2000–2005), Controller (2005–2013), and is currently Vice President of Finance and Chief of Staff, (2013 to present). She is responsible for all finance and accounting functions for the Discovery Point family of companies as well as overseeing its staff. MaryAnn holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business/Public Management and a Master’s Degree in Management Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) Polytechnic Institute.
Andrea Dobra Moore, CFE
Executive Director of Operations and Training
After a 20 year career in teacher education, Andrea joined Discovery Point in 2013 as Manager of Education and Training. In this role, she offered teacher training at the center level and guided new franchisees through the steps to center ownership including the four week new owner training. In 2015, Andrea became part of the management team overseeing all aspects of business operations while continuing oversight of new owner training, the development of Discovery Point Connections® Curriculum, and support of franchise development and growth. She holds Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Georgia. Andrea earned her CFE designation from the International Franchise Association in the fall of 2018.
Andy joined Discovery Point in 2017 after 17 years of advertising agency work, which included print and digital marketing, brand management, copywriting, social media, video production, and public relations. His experience also includes franchise marketing and brand management on the local, regional, and national level. His responsibilities at Discovery Point include direction and management of yearly and quarterly campaigns, print and website creative, social media, local marketing initiatives, advertising, and public relations. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
Manager of Franchise Support
Candice has been a member of the Discovery Point Operations team since 2014. She arrived with over 15 years of childcare experience and expertise in center management, licensing and regulations, and state programs including Quality Rated and Georgia Funded PreK. She currently oversees Discovery Point’s Quality Assurance program, facilitates new owner training, and leads the operational support of Discovery Point China, scheduled to open later this year.
Quality Assurance Consultant
Rochelle has been a member of the Discovery Point Franchising corporate team since 2015. She has over sixteen years of experience in the early childhood industry. She has held positions including teaching children six weeks to twelve years of age, Director of Curriculum and Executive Director of a private school. She is currently a Quality Assurance Consultant. Her responsibilities include providing Quality Assurance visits to centers in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee, building partnerships with Discovery Point franchisees, and promoting high quality and safe learning environments.
Quality Assurance and ECE Trainer
Angela joined Discovery Point Franchising in 2015 after more than 25 years as an Early Childhood Director and Educational Leader. Her responsibilities at Discovery Point include performing monthly quality assurance assessments at assigned Discovery Point centers in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina; providing Technical Assistance to support centers in maintaining regulatory compliance; and providing Discovery Point center staff with required state approved ECE Professional Development training. Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development/Psychology and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership; she is currently pursuing a Doctorates in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development.
Manager of Curriculum and Education
Christina joined Discovery Point in July 2018. Christina has many years of teaching experience including kindergarten, sixth grade Language Arts and five years in a private Montessori program. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Sweet Briar College and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix. Christina is the lead writer and editor of Discovery Point Connections® Curriculum and oversees implementation including teacher support.
Becky J. Dollar
Becky J. Dollar has been a member of the Discovery Point team since 2012. She oversees the corporate schools and she supports our franchise owners as needed. Her expertise includes Pre-K, CACFP, Budgeting, Payroll & Labor Management and Quality Rated. She has a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Clayton State University.
Director of Design and Development
Frances joined Discovery Point in October of 2018 after 4 years of managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor. She received a Bachelor’s of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning & Design from Virginia Tech and began working as an architectural designer for 10 years before switching over to construction. Her responsibilities at Discovery Point include design of all new centers, redevelopment of the existing corporate centers, as well as providing design and construction support for all franchisee renovation projects.
Franchise Development Administrator
Jeff joined the Discovery Point team in January of 2019 as our Franchise Development Administrator. He is a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and received his Bachelor’s Degree In Business Administration at Strayer University. He has over 10 years of commercial and B2B sales experience in education and finance. Jeff’s responsibilities include establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with new prospects and existing franchisees.
Melissa joined the Discovery Point team in 2019, with over 10 years’ experience in accounting, HR, payroll, office management, and account management. Her current responsibilities include accounting for the DPFI main office, as well as other corporate financial interests. She graduated from Georgia State University Robinson College of Business and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Managerial Science. She is planning to attend the same school in the near future, to attain a Master’s Degree in Accounting.
