About the Owners of Our Daycare Franchise in Bradenton

Known as Discovery Point Twelve Oaks, this brand new child care center is owned and operated by Dr. Roger Clough and Mrs. Robin Clough. The Cloughs are relocating from upstate New York, where Dr. Clough worked as a Superintendent of Schools for over a decade. The Cloughs are excited to put down roots in the Friendly City of Bradenton with their two teenage children.

Dr. Clough has extensive experience in early childhood education and is ready to put this expertise to use as the owner of a community-oriented child care center. While working as a Superintendent, he helped facilitate a series of important programs for young students.

Broadening his district’s Pre-Kindergarten program and introducing Junior Kindergarten are both achievements that have had a lasting impact on children in his former school district in New York State. Dr. Clough also helped initiate a STEM program at his district’s elementary schools and worked to establish after-school programs and mentoring opportunities for young children. Dr. Clough also worked to underscore the importance of early literacy by adding reading teachers and teaching assistants to his district.

Dr. Clough shows such enthusiasm for early childhood education it’s no surprise his next step was to open an education-driven child care center. “I’ve always been inspired by the notion that the measure of a civilization is how it treats its youngest members,” he said. By providing exceptional care in a nurturing environment built specifically for the comfort and development of children, Dr. Clough will continue pursuing his mission to help the next generation thrive.

Thanks to his lengthy experience in the field, Dr. Clough is able to recognize high-quality curriculum and understand the crucial components that go into effective early childhood education. “Children should experience a learning environment that will help them grow from an infant to an adult,” he said. “I feel the curriculum programs created by Discovery Point will help nurture so many children at an early age and provide them with the tools they need to succeed in the future.”

Dr. Clough will be supported by his wife in the operation of this new daycare franchise in Bradenton. Mrs. Clough has 25 years of experience working for the United States Customs Service and Homeland Security. She will leverage her administrative and management skills to encourage smooth and efficient daily operations at the Bradenton child care center, helping keep the main focus on the needs of each individual child.
