Tampa Community Embraces Discovery Point Owners
Childcare Franchise Leader and Local Franchise Owners to Participate in Tampa Franchise Expo; Florida Poised for Expansion
According to a new report by the International Franchise Association (IFA), the franchise industry is positioned to expand by 1.6 percent in 2017, an increase in more than 11,500 establishments nationwide. With years of educating and providing quality care for children six weeks to 12 years old, Discovery Point, a leading childcare franchise, announces expansion plans to meet the needs of the working parent in Tampa, as well as other cities in Florida. As a top state for entrepreneurship, per the SBE Council, Discovery Point is confident that its current success in Florida can be multiplied to support communities across the state.
“One of our longest-standing franchise owners, Nancy Fields, opened our first Discovery Point in Tampa years ago after being one of the franchise’s first employees in 1988. Nancy Fields’ business acumen and friendship with founders Cliff and Diane Clark were big factors in the brand’s successful expansion from its headquarters in Atlanta to Tampa. “Being part of the original development of this brand, I can confirm that what works today still works because of Discovery Point’s processes and focus on curriculum. Because it has consistently focused on these items, business owners with a passion for children and community have been able to realize their dreams as Discovery Point owners and make a difference to the families they serve,” explains Nancy Fields.
