Meet Our Teachers

The dedication and focus of our staff in caring for and educating the children in their care is such a vital part of what makes Discovery Point so special.

Ms. Sarah Bowie – Owner

Ms. Sarah is the owner here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks, where she has been for over 11 years now. Outside of the office she is a mom to two children, a sweet pup that keep her on her toes.

Ms. Melissa Nordholm

Director

Ms. Melissa is the Director here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for over 9 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for all of them. As a mom to four, she spends most of her time outside of work shuttling them all across Wesley Chapel for sports. She is also the founder and photographer at SugarBrooke Designs.

Ms. Erika Young

Assistant Director

Ms. Erika is the Assistant Director here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 13 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 4 years. Outside of work, she dedicates her time to her two boys who make up her whole world.

Ms. Alicia Oberholtzer

Kitchen Manager

Ms. Alicia is the Kitchen Manager here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 13 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 9 years. She is momma to two of the sweetest kids around.

Ms. Stacey Miller

Teacher

Ms. Stacey is one of the Teachers here within our center. She is also a Supervisor within our Management Team. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 10 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 4 years. Her favorite part of teaching here is the connection she gets with all of the kids and their parents, giving them a sense of security while they learn. As a new momma herself to a sweet little girl she understands the value of that security.

Ms. Ashley Welsch

Teacher

Ms. Ashley is one of the VPK Wrap Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 13 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for almost 2 years. Her favorite part of her job is seeing her students smiley faces every morning when she walks into the classroom as they give her a hug. Outside of work she loves to spend quality family time with my husband and my 2 beautiful, wonderful children.

Ms. Heather Tumminia

Teacher

Ms. Heather is one of the VPK Wrap Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 4 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 3 years. Her favorite part of her job is finding new ways to challenge her kiddos. Fun fact about Ms. Heather? She’s REALLY good at “Just Dance”!

Ms. Tiara

Teacher

Ms. Tiara is the VPK AM Teacher here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 15 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for almost 3 years. Her favorite part of her job is all the ‘I love you Mrs. T’ and when they have that lightbulb moment when blending letters to read. Outside of work she loves being a #BoyMom and spending time with her favorite people.

Ms. Carie is one of the Preschool 3 Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 4 years.

Ms. Kaytie Young

Teacher

Ms. Kaytie is one of the Preschool 3 Teachers here within our center. She is also a Supervisor within our Management Team. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 3 years.

Ms. Ann Alfaro

Teacher

Ms. Ann is one of the Preschool 2 Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 26 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 9 years. Her favorite part of her job is giving and receiving Love along with creating confidence in her young friends to help them flourish. She loves GOD and others. Children are truly her passion.

Ms. Hope Todd

Teacher

Ms. Hope is one of the Preschool 1 Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for almost 3 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for almost all of those 3 years. Her favorite part of her job is watching the students grow into their personalities and seeing them learn new things. Outside of work she loves spending time with my family and friends.

Ms. Megan Ennis

Teacher

Ms. Megan is one of the Preschool 1 Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 6 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for those 6 years. Her favorite part of her job is playing with her kiddos and watching them grow and learn new things. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and playing softball.

Ms. Lauren Linderman

Ms. Lauren is one of the Toddler Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 3 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for those 3 years. Her favorite part of her job is seeing all the kids grow and learn new things every day. She also loves the snuggles! Outside of work she loves working out.

Ms. Ariel Romo-Delgado

Ms. Ariel is one of the Toddlers Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 5 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for those 5 years. Her favorite part of her job is making kids laugh, having dance parties and watching them grow and learn new things. In her time away from work, she loves all things Disney!

Ms. Twanda is one of the Beginners Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for almost 36 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 1 year.

Ms. Heather is one of the Infant Teachers here within our center. She has been teaching in the childcare industry for 4 years, and has been here at Discovery Point Lexington Oaks for 2 years. Her favorite part of her job is watching the babies grow and hit different milestones!. When not working her favorite thing to do is spend time with her daughter & son.
