Giving Back

We Are One of the Top Child Care Franchises Because We Give Back

Discovery Point’s commitment to children reaches beyond our centers. As one of the top child care franchises, we’ve leveraged our leadership role to make connections with organizations doing valuable work in our area of interest.

Building relationships is what we do every day at our centers, and we continue cultivating relationships outside of the context of our franchise locations. Through fruitful collaborations with inspiring charities and philanthropic programs, we can help make the world an even better place for our students and their families.

Diane’s Devotion

Diane’s Devotion is a philanthropic program named for Discovery Point’s co-founder, the late Diane Clark. Each year, Discovery Point child care centers partner with local charities in honor of Clark, and each center encourages its community to contribute to this worthy cause. The official charity drive for Diane’s Devotion is a Back to School Supply/Backpack Drive that takes place annually at the beginning of the school year.

Toys for Tots

Discovery Point partners with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a not-for-profit public charity, to raise funds and collect toys during the holiday season to benefit less fortunate children throughout the country. Many Discovery Point centers set up toy collection stations in their lobbies and take monetary donations.

Gwinnett Medical Center’s Sports Medicine and Concussion Care-A-Van

Discovery Point is proud to partner with Gwinnett Medical Center to help produce the “Sports Medicine and Concussion Care-A-Van.” This mobile concussion care unit is the first of its kind. It travels to sports leagues, park centers, child care centers, and family events to provide baseline concussion testing that aids in proper diagnosis and treatment in the event of a head injury.

The Care-A-Van’s primary mission is to provide education, prevention, proper diagnosis, and treatment. As primary sponsor of the project, Discovery Point’s contribution helped expedite the completion of the renovation – 9 months from start to finish.

Diane Clark Patient Simulation, Education, and Safety Center at Northside Hospital Gwinnett

Cliff Clark, President and CEO of Discovery Point Franchising, decided to honor his late wife, Diane by making a multi-year lead gift to name Northside Gwinnett hospital’s new patient simulation, education and safety center after Diane.

The space provides simulator rooms designed for a variety of practical settings found in the hospital, such as a labor and delivery room, an emergency department trauma room, a medical-surgical department room, an operating room, and a critical care room.
